forster or redding die set

I would say they are quite similar in performance, with Forster having nicer boxes, and cheaper to boot!! That being said the only Forster dies I own are competition sets. Most of the dies I have bought in the last ten years have been Redding, I really like their deluxe die sets.


These days I buy a Wilson seater, Lee collet neck sizer, Redding FL and make my own sets of dies lol. Will probably start adding a body die.
 
Mystic, For the 300 win mag it's for hunting/long range shooting (1000 yrds) , nosler brass, 210 gr berger bullet.

For the 300 wsm for target shooting, Winchester brass 190 berger vld bullets.

I need a set for the 300 win mag ASAP and don't wanna go with RCBS again.
 
I prefer Forster, I have a few sets of their competition dies and they work great and make concentric ammo. Having said that, I also have a few sets of Reddings which I've mostly acquired used from the EE or they were included with rifles I bought. The Reddings are fine and make good ammo but for some reason I find they tend to come loose after some reloading sessions especially in the bushing sizing dies which can get frustrating sometimes.

If Forster makes dies for the calibre I am looking for then I buy them, otherwise it's Redding or RCBS competition dies which I like as well.
 
Is there any Dealers or sponsors on this site that will have a set of Forster competition dies for 300 win mag and 300 WSM. Need the 300 win mag set ASAP.
 
I use and prefer the Forster benchrest full length resizing dies with the high mounted expander. The neck of the case is still held and centered in the neck of the die when the expander enters the case neck. Meaning the expander can not pull your case necks off center and induce neck runout.

Below the Forster expander works so well I installed them on my RCBS dies to minimize neck runout.
