Forum Name: Hunting and Sporting Arms

This had likely been discussed before and not really much of an issue.......nevertheless, is there a reason that this forum name has remain unchanged so far?

Personally, I've always thought that a slight alteration that would read as "Hunting and Sporting Rifles" could be so much more appropriate for this particular forum given the specifics that we discuss here.

Moreover, I'm postive that the suggestion won't trigger a conflict such as the likes that we have observed over the split of the Shotgun forum. :D

Just replace that darn word "Arms" with "Rifles" ..... rifles - the word sounds so much more nicer! :cool:
 
I'm with you, just because there IS a shotgun forum, so obviously this forum is meant for rifles. Equally obviously, shotguns qualify as "hunting and sporting arms", as do handguns in some people's lexicon.
 
Who cares, spring must be just around the corner.

Maybe we should start a 270 vs 30-06 thread OR maybe is a 12 guage better than a 45-70 for bear defense.
 
As I stated initially, this is not really an issue at all.

However, I also also like the fact that particular forum designations within CGN are quite methodical with appropriate naming conventions/terminology being used in almost all the cases. So why not streamline this one as well?

Such matters won't alter our lives any more for the better but that most certainly doesn't prevent any of us from visiting CGN several times a day.

And Gatehouse, go take a nap! You must be tired from all that hiking with the .375 Ruger that you call - a rifle! :D
