fouling

Sweets 7.62 works well, industrial grade ammonia works even better.

The ammonia can be bought at cleaning supply warehouses such as Zep, etc....

I use MPRO7 COPPER REMOVER. i'll soak the bore let it sit for a bit, scrub it and patch out.. I use nylon brush. i was told to use a size bigger of nylon brush but have not tried it yet

Gunslick foaming bore cleaner, G96 bore solvent or just plain old CLP with a couple rush strokes and some clean patches... I even break out the Hoppes #9 from time to time.

Wipe Out

If you are heavily fouled, leave it in over night. It's amazing how much blue (ie copper) will come out on the patch the next morning. The best part is you don't need to scrub, just patch.

IMO Wipe out is the best kept secret in barrel cleaning. I used to use CR 10, Butches bore shine or hoppes#9. Wipeout is very easy and it just plain works. No scrubbing = less chance of dammaging your barrel from cleaning. I am of the opinion that more barrels are wrecked from improper cleaning then not cleaning.

Off the shelf factory rifle I do not waste my time trying to get it out.

Match grade barrels, come out clean with very little scrubbing and Aqua Clean. I have a Kreiger right now that is the easiest to clean aftermarket barrel I have ever owned. Oh and shoots like a house on fire.

If it is really fouled (some customers !) I use JB Bore Cleaning paste on a brush and then use Wipe Out. The JB cuts the copper more quickly when the fouling is thick. I have seen some barrels so fouled you could not insert a pilot from a chambering reamer in the bore.

i think i might try and find some wipeout, i dont knwo if wholesale or cabellas has it,

my barrel shouldn't be very dirty iv only shot 200 rounds out of it but im trying to shoot small groups so, it wouldn't hurt to clean it

where can i find the foaming wipe out?

cabellas ans wholesale dont have it on their web sites

Where do you live? Demand the local gun store bring it in?...or ask a friendly CGNer to ship some to you? Hmmm, it appears Canada Post won't ship aerosols, so a courier of some sort...
Big +1 for Wipeout, watching the blue drool is cool.
