Found a big sale.

I was looking to buy some powder and primers and found that Grouse River is having a big sale on all their reloading supplies.

Well I put in an order for Varget... I'm prepping myself for disappointment.

Yep, just got a call. They had about 4 or 5 different powders in stock and Varget wasn't one of them.

Their website is a joke. The sale they are currently having includes firearms they don't have. I know this because I was in last week looking for a remington 700 aac-sd. They didn't expect any back for a month or 2 yet they are on sale. Nice store, so so pricing, terrible website

Maybe it is for the better? I regret buying my 700 AAC-SD, after I replaced the cheap plastic stock with a H&S stock it would of been cheaper just to buy a 700 5R, it comes with an H&S stock and has a much better barrel.

Yeah, I put in an order for varget, hs-6 and Winchester 231. None in stock guess I got fooled, but they did have the CCI small pistol primers and the .308 A-max. I figured when the order went through and didn't back order it was good.

Anyone suggest a good .308 hunting bullet between 150-170 gr?
I have a pile of A-max's but wanted to try a few in my gun before loading up.

I haven't tried them on game yet, but I intend to try out the 165gr SST this fall. Shoots decent in my gun, at paper.

231? That would have been a miracle. There hasn't been any 231 for ages. I've been waiting for over a year for it. It's o/s in the US, too. None at Midway, Brownells or Graf's. Sucks big time.

I gave up on ordering from Grouse River, their website doesn't actually show if it's in stock. I've tried to make a few orders from them before, seems every time I end up with a phone call saying it's out of stock.

That gets real tired fast after a few let downs like that, Its nice when they show stock or out of stock right on the web sight.
