Shipping ammo from Our Friendly Neighbour To The South to its Friendly Neighbour To The North seems to be STRENGSTENS VERBOTEN unless you go through an expensive Broker and take months and months to bring it in.
MUCH easier to get some Fiocchi here or else bring in the empties or make them up from .45LC. If you have a friend in the States, they can legally buy the ammo or brass THERE and then you meet at the Border (because they won't have a PAL) and and they give you the ammo right there. If they just bring you the brass (from Graf's: see their website) then no permits are needed anywhere! You even get away without GST because it's a GIFT.
It's all part of the Homeland Security BS...... which is starting to sound more like FESTUNG AMERIKA all the time. SOME DAY they will realise that it was Camel-jockeys riding those airplanes and not Beaverboffers. Maybe we should just shut off the OIL for a week, see if they wake up.
If you have access to a LATHE, you can trim back the rims on .45 Auto Rim from the FRONT. That will give you perfect .455 Colt brass.
The Webley bullet was 265 grains, VERRRRY deep hollow base, super-thin skirt and specific to the Webley cartridge because of the narrow forward chamber cones of the early revolvers. It works wonderfully well and is very accurate. Problem is that I do not know of a source for a proper MOULD.
Anyone help here???????
