I was having feeding issues with my Versa Max. I took one of the two springs out from behind the shell release lever (Button... Thing?) as a band-aid fix so it wouldn't pinch the shell so hard between that and the receiver. But I think the real culprit is a weak recoil spring. When the bolt is closed/in battery, if I face it muzzle up and bump the stock, the bolt bounces open and closed. And I always thought it seemed a little lazy going into battery. My A400 is WAY faster.
Anyone know where I could get an extra power recoil spring? Wolff supposedly makes one for the M4 (The action of the Versa Max is a copy of the Benelli M4), but they only have the spring for the Benelli Super 90 listed on their website, and nothing listed for the Versa Max. Are the recoil springs for the M4 and the Super 90/M1/M2/Cordoba/Montefeltro/SBE the same?
