Found Some 303 FMJ (Pic)

Found about a thousand rounds, headstamp is 303 FNB, Fabrique Nationale according to the box but no date. Any idea how old it is? Corrosive or not? Looks to be in nice shape.

Its relatively fresh. The FNB ammunition I saw was loaded with boattailed bullets, so I assume it was 8z. No idea whether it is corrosive or not. Probably best to assume it might be, and clean well

Nope, just 303 FNB. No date on the boxes either. Tried to Google "Caina Company" but it seems to be out of business.

well if you don't have one i would be glad to assist you in geting rid of the stuff!! I would hate to put you through all that cleaning of your rifle, let alone the horrendus expense of buying a new rifle.

I dealt with Caina about 15 years ago. I bought my Ishapore FN-FAL, and some Czech 7.62x51 ammo.

I havent seen ads for them for years.

Caina has been closed since 1992-93. They did have some good buys but the compay went downhill real fast and ticked off a LOT of customers.

IIRC FNB is not corrosive...

I have a few boxes myself. Occasionally I see them in gun shows going for about $25 per box of 50.

I've used this stuff, and it's damn near target grade ammo/match ammo.

Take it, and shoot it, and enjoy it! Non-corrosive, worth every penny you paid for it!

I took the plunge and bought it all, there were three ammo cans for $50.00 each, plus a box of clips for $10.00. It is not all the same though, some on clips, various headstamps. I'll post a pic a soon as I finish going through and counting/examining it.
