Just picked-up 60lbs at 50 cents a pound. I'll be mixing them 50/50 with WW.
 
Where in the world did you find something like that? Yet another form of lead I have never seen before.
Right up there with the lead torpedo and wool rope.

I have heard of lead roof flashing but have never seen any.

I've found about 400 pounds of lead sheeting used in HVAC (what i do) from various buildings in downtown toronto. Nothing like getting paid to remove the lead and getting to keep it :):)
 
I scored a couple hundred lbs years ago. Was used in a double shower stall installation. Completely across the bottom and about 6 inches up each side. Had ceramic tile glued to it. All gone down range now. Mostly as 12 gauge slugs.
 
We used to use it to line the inside of flue chases in apartment buildings to reduce noise. Its been years but at the time we had stacks of lead sheets all over our warehouse.
 
We still use lead flashings, some of our jobs spec it for roof drains. Hit the Jackpot a few years ago, the roofers wanted the flashings for a terrace and I had my guys bring up 28 of them. The roofers then said that before they would do the terrace the builder had to clean it, so the site superintendent told his Mexican labours to clean every thing off.
Sure enough all the flashings went into the dumpster, by the time we discovered what happened they were so badly mangled that the roofers refused to use them. My company charged the builder for 28 new flashings and told me to toss the old ones. I promptly did that, right in the back of my truck.
 
I scored or should I say saved a hundred pounds plus of sheet lead from a friend that was going to melt them and make dive weights. He said they were used to "chink" submarine battery's, I got it tested and it's 97.5% lead and 2.5% tin, don't get much better than that!
Sheet lead is getting scarce but can be still found. Makes handy non-marring vice jaws.

I know lead's best purpose is getting slung downrange, but for roofing material it is also awesome stuff. Conforms to odd angles so easily, and not razor sharp when cut.

Less popular now, it's not truly antiquated yet.

I saw lots of buildings in England roofed with lead last year. Out of my hotel window in Canterbury, I could see at least two tons of lead within 100 feet of me
