Tagged out a mulie buck. 80 yard shot. The 160gr Fox bullet did its job. I think they are a little softer than Barnes bullets and they seem to be more prone to shedding pedals during expansion, which imo is a good thing. Creates a bigger wound channel.
I also run the Fox Classic 139gr from PR in my 6.5PRC Christensen FFT ... rifle shoots silly with max 143gr ELDX reloads H4831SC (OAL: 2.955), pretty well same with these Fox bullets (same powder load, brass, primers): just have to move POI 5x R from the 143gr zero/lucky its an easy switch. Avg speed in the FFT is rounded 2750fps for the CDS Dial, for both loads (great especially for a short 17.5" barrel - exact chamber to end of barrel, + 2.25" for the brake) and OAL is deeper than the 143gr: at 2.889. They are long bullets (slightly longer than the already long ELDX) + seated a hair off the lands and just fit in internal mag; that's how I run, on some anyways ... I use a 9.3x62 for Moose
Hornady Factory 143gr ELDX: 2749 avg fps .50 moa (x5), spread 40.2 fps, standard dev 16.9 fps (the OAL is same)
H4831SC 143gr ELDX: 2752 avg fps easy .25 moa (x5), spread 21.0 fps, standard dev 6.8 fps
