With a lower that only accepts BR180 uppers and Rem 870 stocks, this looks promising for a Canadian FRT... No drop-in AR trigger though.

Would be interesting to see where this falls it might actually have a chance.

Although it seems to follow AR-15 takedown pins, its clearly not an AR15 lower and the BRN180 upper although it mates with AR15 lowers isnt listed among the banned rifles in the May 1 OIC so the upper might squeak by on a technicality.

But given they classed the ARES/Fightlite SCR as an AR15 I don't know how well this would fair.

Good god people. Takes AR15 uppers.

GAME OVER.

The OIC states "The upper receiver of any firearm referred to in item 87 of Part 1 of this schedule." (Item 87 being a list of AR10 and 15 models)

The BRN180 wasnt named in the OIC nor is it in the FRT. So assuming this somehow gets classed as not an AR-15 theres nothing stopping the BRN-180 upper coming with it.

However slim that chance might be.

Doesn't matter, if they can tape an ar upper to it, and fire one round off destroying the receiver, it'll be still called an ar variant

So don't hold your breath.

The Foxtrot Mike Ranch Rifle DOES NOT take traditional AR uppers, BRN180 only.

Even if you could get an AR upper to fit, there's no way to charge to rifle...

Uh huh. And what does the BRN-180 upper fit onto? Standard AR15 lowers. If it fits and AR15 lower, it’s an AR15 upper, and if it fits an AR15 upper, then it’s an AR15. You can try to delude yourselves otherwise, or hope that the regime screws up, but in the end it’s just a game, and it won’t work out.

As for working, it works 100%. Open the upper, remove the bolt carrier, drop round into chamber, drop bolt carrier after, #### hammer and close the upper. She’s loaded and ready to go. Single shot only with an extra stupid California reload, but still a fully functional firearm in the eyes of the law.
