I saw a forum post on savage shooters and was woundering about it. Has anyone seen or done a modification so your fp10 can accept AICS mags?.Here is a little blurb from the thread. The bottom metal attaches the the front two action screws. The system must be installed by a gunsmith since the hole in the stock needs to be cut. The system uses AICS mags 5/10rds. 200-250$ this does not include a magazine,

If that doesn't work out, just get the new center feed factory actions. They are superb. Smooth as silk and the mag will allow 2.95 to 3.0" OAL.

Stocks to accomodate this new mag action are in the works. Hopefully, there will a full line including hunting and tactical styles. Once stocks come, mags will not be far behind.
