fps russia custom mosin nagant

In case anyone is wondering...

He mentioned it's from Moss Pawn & Gun (Iraqveteran8888). It looks like they just chopped the stock and put the folding one on, and duracoated everything.

Search Iraqveteran8888's channel for "fugly" - they have a couple videos of this gun, including a description of the build. I'm not 100% but it looks like they've made a couple of "variants" with different chopped stocks and muzzle brakes.

Although it would be a shame to chop up a Mosin, the videos that IV8888 made make it look worth the eternity's damnation for chopping a WWII milsurp.

Meh. So they shortened the barrel on a Mosin-Nagant 1891 to make it a handier length and then stuck a muzzle brake on it.

Funny thing is, I thought the Russians already did that back in 1938... and then modified it a bit in 1944 to get the M44 variant. And I believe you can get muzzle brakes that will just slip on and lock over the front sight... So really that just leaves the folding stock, which may make the rifle a little easier to transport but does absolutely nothing much for its comfort and shootability.

I think this one comes under the heading of "Bubba strikes again".

Poor old Sergei Mosin is doing backflips in his grave...

...and wondering how the heck the bayonet is supposed to go on with that fruity flash enhancer on the front.

Those slip on muzzle brakes are sheisty as hell. A lot of guys have had strikes and shot the brake down range. Need a threaded one on this powerful of a rifle to get any kind of safety or peace of mind IMO.

The M38 was developed for non front line troop use, personnel like engineers, medics, and the like. Easy to carry, and fired sparingly. It was liked so much that the M44 was developed, because Russia would not place a rifle on the front line without a bayonet at that time.

Muzzle brakes, yeah if not secured well, they will work loose.
I put two dabs of jb weld on the front sight pin on my SKS brake. Not removable now, but don't want it to be. I'll just clean it as is.

i just tested and bought the 91/30 twiston muzzle brake from west rifle ,cost 45 bucks but it works very good.very tight fit ,good hardend set screw,a shot of blue locktite and tapped in place with a wooden mallet and a twist with a screw driver to set it.it is on there for whenever i want to remove it.it really took the barrel flip out,and im sure adds to grouping.i put 20 rounds through with no change.

This nagant looks great, im planning to do something like that with my second mosin.

Haters gonna hate

But i find that this is a great deal instead of putting 1000$ on a new bolt action rifle
