Fr-f2?

What is the beltfed? Looks like a rip-off of an mg34 and mg42, or some sort of hybrid ...

I'd buy one purely for collecting purposes. Don't think i'd depend my life on it, doesn't look like that high-quality of gun.

They're supposed to be quite accurate, French guns have an undeserved reputation from people who've never shot them. The GPMG is an AA-52

The best description I've read was "It can't tell if it wants to be classic or modern, so it's both".

Well, that's because it's built using a WW2-era MAS-36 action. And say what you will about the MAS-36, they may be odd looking but they are actually really well designed as an infantry rifle.

That doesn't explain the wood stock.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Thats the beauty of a separate butt stock. As long as it's tight, it works and it's easy to modify. The shooters probably find it quite functional and comfortable.
