A local fellow has a Spanish FR7 for sale and I was wondering what they are selling for? It has a bent bolt handle on it, the stock and action have been clearanced to fit it. Comes with rings mounted (no scope). Stock is good with one small repair that has been done well. I was told that all the work was done by a gunsmith. The gun looks solid, and I havent shot it but it's a northern bush gun so I'm willing to bet it shoots reliably and straight. So how much should I pay the fella if I decide to go for it?

FR7 Should have a bent bolt without smithing, FR8 come stock with straight bolt...bolt is not original if bolt had to be smithed on FR7.

FR7 is weaker 96 action, wouldn't use commercial .308 in it, some may argue, but FR7's arent exactly built on a super strong actions...your gamble.
FR8 is large ring m98 action, can use any ammo in it.

I would pay around $250-$300 for an FR7 if its in good shape and all original, which i doubt yours is due to the bolt.

FR8's are much nicer and go for $500-$550 without much hastle.
