Frame of Police Positive?

Hey,

I was just wondering what frame the Colt Police Positive .38 S&W would be? I'm looking at getting some aftermarket grips

D frame, depending on when it was made, it can be long grip or short grip. As you mentioned yours is a 38 S&W in a previous post, that pretty much means it will be a long grip. - dan

When looking at aftermarket grips for the Police Positive, make sure you know whether they include the screw, nut, and escutchons. Some companies (like Vintage Grips) don't supply these items as it is assumed that you will use the ones from your old grips. Not a big deal if you're looking to replace the grips, but if you want to sell the old ones then you create a problem for yourself if you don't have the screw, nut, and escutcheons.
