So i am looking for a new pack for hunting. Specifically a fame pack. Looking for something with a rifle and bow holder as well. Preferably a quick release rifle holder would be great, also 5000 cubic inches or more. I have found several of these online but I dont want to spend 1000$ for a pack. Looking in the couple hundred range. If anyone has any in mind that fit my description let me know. Thanks, Trevor.

Cabelas has two, both for under 300. An external tube frame and an internal wire frame; 4500 to 4800 cubic inch range. I got the internal frame, easy week in the bush. Big bag for meat and a rifle caddy on rear adjustable to most rifle lengths. Mine is early fall outfitter camo, has a sporting scope pouch, detachable GPS pouch.

There's always army surplus but you will pay big bucks for a rifle holder from Kifaru.

Here's mine

Nothing can beat an external frame pack for hauling heavy loads. Even Glen Eberle talks about using his packs to get back to the truck and pick up a frame pack.

That Bean pack looks interesting. I just hate buying stuff, especially packs, without being able to try them on.

Hate to hijack anything here, but does anyone have experience with Kuiu frame packs? I'm looking for something for day trips that I can haul a decent load with

I miss the old Trapper Nelson pack nothing worked better for packing moose out of the ugly stuff
The new packs are over price junk I have a stack of bent up pack frames ther good for one ore two trips up the Mountain Before ther are bunt out of shape but then again I'm packing rock for 4km down a Mountain through sun pretty harsh conditions between the Blowdown and muskeg it is hard on the pack bored
For packing Quarters any Half decent external pack frame works just not as well as the old Trapper Nelson

I have a Kelty Cache Hauler. I don't say it's the best, but it's good and I particularly like it for the ease of separating the pack from frame and I got it for a good price (c. US$100 including shippping, when our dollar was much stronger than now.) If I hadn't found that good deal I'd have probably got the LLBean one.

Consider a kifaru gun bearer for attaching a rifle to your pack. I have a tatonka frame and that works well except the bottom shelf is fixed, so I only use it for backpacking hunts. For day trips I use a kelty cache hauler, it's a bit lighter duty than the tatonka but it suits me fine for the deer I haul out. I think both packs are good value for a couple hundred each.

anyone ever hear of or use this pack.. Fairly cheap and has everything I was looking for besides the quick detach rifle

Looks good but I'd want something proven. You know the old saying.. Cry once or something like it. I've got a couple Badlands packs. No external frame tho. The ox pack looks good. They come up for sale used every now and then.
