Franchi auto shotgun?

I see SIR have a Franchi auto in thier latest catalogue, has anyone knowledge of them? It seems Beretta, Benelli, Franchi and Stoeger are all one company.

The Franchi is less than half the price of my Benelli, but uses the same operating system, as does Stoeger. Is the Franchi a fancy Stoeger?

Might want to consider the Beretta 1201fp as well, as they were the predecessor to the Benelli 'M' line of shotguns and are almost identical (except for a MUCH better price tag)
