I recently acquired a franchi semi auto. I was wondering if you could tell me more about it. The year of manufacture, value etc etc . . . There is no model marked on it but i assume it is a 48 al although i may be wrong. It has a 26" plain full barrel with an odd v shaped site at the end. The barrel may not be origional i could be wrong. On the barrel there is AOOIAIO OOGINE SUPERCROMTO, kg,870, 18.3, 920645, XXIV, and some proof marks. What leads me to believe that the barrel is not origional is the fact that the serial number on the barrel and reciever do not match. The reciever is a semi-humpback make on the side it hasd L. A. Luigi Franchi (Brescia) made in italy. The serial number on the reciever is A51599. The gun has a chrome bolt and shell lifter. It has swivel studs in the stock and magazine cap. It has a red but pad with white trim with is a replanement. The stock shows some marks on the stock especially around the stud. The forearm has a couple very minor dings and i would rate the bluing at 98% +. The gun is very lightweight but it has a shorter lop and does not fit me well. What do you think would be an approximant value?

I saw a table on shotgun world and it places the date of manufacture at 1968. Does anyone have an idea of the value?
