My Renaissance 12 gauge has recently developed an ejection issue only during firing, it works perfectly with snap caps. Here's the issue , when I fire the top barrel first the top shell ejects and the bottom shell stays but if I fire the bottom barrel first the fired shell and the top unfired shell both eject. I examined the ejector sears and they seem ok with no obvious wear and with the stock off the ejector rods both move forward when they should. Since this issue does not occur with dry firing I'm stumped as to a possible cause.
I will probably need to send it away but I was hoping there's a small chance that someone might have experienced and solved a similar issue. I doubt the local smith is up to the task as he seems to be mostly a rifle guy.
edit: I did replace the ejector springs a while ago so I'm going to reinstall the old ones but I can't see how this could cause the issue.
