Hello

I was just wondering how many people have tried or bought a franchi rifle and what your thoughts and how the performance was?
I have not heard to much about them.

Thanks

I checked out the original rifles (non-ceracoat) at my lgs. the fit and finish on the metal was great but the synthetic stock didn't really impress me. I liked the styling of it and it was stiffer in the forend than most other plastic stocks i've seen (rem 783 & ruger american), but it has a lot of drop at the comb. would be great if it came with open sights but it doesn't. to be honest i probably would have bought one anyway as i like the Franchi 7 year warranty and moa guarantee. But i was dealing with a new sales guy, and an issue with the particular rifle i was looking at. it was missing the follower from the magazine and the guy wouldn't believe me when i told him it was missing a piece. he just kept saying it was a brand new gun its supposed to be like that. i walked out empty handed that day. I like the look of the new varmint rifles and would like to get one in 224 valkyrie if they ever make it to canada.

I almost bought one when they were fist out, they were $500 a lot of places.
I took a pass because upon inspection the trigger unit is identical to the Sabbatti Rover, so I question how much of it is made by Franchi.
The stock is not great either.
