I have a Franchi Shotgun that is identical to the HK 512 in just about every way. The only difference that I can see based on my research is that it doesn't have the HK engraving on the right side of the reciever. Instead the reciever is stamped with FRANCHI. There are also four small stamps on the bottom front of the reciever.
1) What appears to be the word FINITO under a star inside a circle
2) BA inside a rectangle
3) PSF
4) What looks almost like a coat of arms. It definately has a cross in it
The stampings are very small and somewhat light. We were looking through a magnifying glass under really bright light and it took us some time to come to the above conclusions.
Any accurate information would be appreciated. I have sent email to Franchi but have not heard anything back as of yet.
