Franken AR - What do you do with extra parts??

As upgrades come along - I've noticed that I have uppers, lowers, handguards, grips etc etc lying around the gun box...I'm thinking of putting them together to form a FRANKEN AR...lol - I know there are varied opinions on this -

What are your opinions?

I say dont do it! sell me the upper lol I dont want my Norc upper anymore because my Stag lower is noticeably better quality and the two do not mate well. I did this with 10/22's x2 took the parts from each I want into one and make a Franken Ruger. Nothing wrong with the concept.

Mine is a frankenAR... Armalite barrel/upper + Bushmaster lower + DPMS parts kit + unknown M16 BCG... works flawlessly and I shot a perfect score (50) on 300m service rifle at Connaught range earlier this summer.
Just do it.

Absolutely.

Go for it. As said, some of the best ARs are the ones you build from parts with the knowledge you gained over time and other builds.
