Frankford Arsenal Case Lube

Hey all - local gun shop was out of Hornady One Shot (again or still) so picked this up instead to reload my growing collection of spent cases.

I was lead to believe this contained alcohol & lanoline, but it turns out it's castor oil instead. Sprayed some on the back of my hand & gave it a rub after a few minutes of drying time - it seemed to be slippery enough but just wondering if anyone else is using it with good results. Also really clinged to my skin so may need to wipe the cases off with some acetone / alcohol / brake cleaner etc.

Some old reviews seemed to point to not enough castor oil being in earlier production batches that got released.

Thanks in advance
Tom

I use this but was very hesitant at first. Doing some research led me to believe that using it would produce stuck cases. Since I have used it, it seems to work flawlessly.

I put my cases in a zip lock bag and spray a few squirts into the bag and then just work it all over the cases with my hands, outside the zip lock. As I pull them from the bag, I lube the insides of the neck and let them stand and air dry for a few minutes. Also make sure to spray the inside of the die and let that dry as well.

Once dry, they are ready to resize.

**I believe I found this method either here or on another forum. Not my idea, but it works great. **
