Just incase anyone is looking for this press they happen to be on wild Wednesday. I'm seriously thinking about it but my wallets hurting a little bit to much from the last couple months of announcements.

I like the Frankford stuff and a Co-Axial press would be nice to have to get a little more precision out of my 6.5 PRC loads.

Just a heads-up; FA does not support Canada for parts or service; tried ordering parts for one I had, and was told that they do not ship to Canada.

All I have to say is I was very interested in this press until I went to my local big box store and took one out of the box to get a feel for it.
I’m going to stick with the Lee classic cast until I feel like dropping some coin on a Forster coax. Very glad I didn’t order online without laying hands on it first.

I have 2 Forster Co-Ax presses on my bench. One I have owned for a long, long time.
It has loaded 10's of thousands of rounds, with nary a hitch of any kind.

Bought the second one 4 years ago....it has the higher yoke to clear tall seating dies.
There may be better presses out there, but I really love my Bonanza/Forster units.
Dave.

I bought one from Amazon, to replace a worn out Lyman Turret Press I bought new in about 1970 something. It was damaged; that is how I found out that they would not ship parts to Canada; I told them I was willing to pay for the parts, and would pay shipping. I actually liked the press and the die blocks.

I ended up returning the press and bought an RCBS Rock Chucker which I fitted out with Lee breach-lock bushings for quick die changes. I could not be happier!

So I appreciate all the info and comments! The warranty and parts thing is annoying for sure!

As for the Blocks I personally don’t see the difference between then or getting a quick change setup! I guess if you’re loading a ton of different calibers it’s a pain in the ass but for one or two die sets is it just that much more expensive? Two hornady bushings are 25.99 and two Lee are 19.99 while the FA are 3 for 29.99.

It definitely has other things against it but the bushing are a non issue for me!

Based on my experience with FA products (Adj. hand primer = stinking garbage, hand deprimer = garbage ... wet tumbler = just OK), I immediately think of two reasons nobody should ever buy this press:

(1) FA is made with Chineseium and their after sales support is nonexistent in Canada

(2) The die rings ("blocks") on this press are proprietary.
So all of your die rings -that likely came with the die anyways -need to be replaced at $10 + tax per block.
Hard Pass!

Better to be patient and spend an extra $100 to $150 on a genuine Forster Co-Ax

There are a few "How to fix the FA M press" vids out now, whether they've been corrected, no idea, but, QC is a question on them, along with some of the things they do to cut cost. That said, they sell lots based on price and somewhat shady marketing. Think there are 3 version of the Co-ax, original Bonanza, one early update under Forster, then another one say 15 yrs ago or so, all to do with increasing cartridge/die size capacity.

I have a few different presses including a Summit.
Summit is OK for pistol and .223 size cases.
Had shoulder bump issues with .308 and 3006.
I would go for something like a Rock Chucker if you want to resize larger cases.

I do trust Hirsch that’s for sure. Maybe I’ll look at an RCBS Summit?

I considered one, but reviews stated that it does twist around on the pillar so there can indeed be some alignment issues with it. Again, these issues don't occur with the Rock Chucker, and it is less money.

Not sure how common it is, but, have seen a number of posts with Summits with cracked castings over the last couple of years. I bought a MEC this last Xmas, really like it, haven't seen anyone saying anything about troubles with it yet. MEC has a wee bit of experience building presses, they did good with this one, it runs smooth, really nice to use, and I have a Co-Ax and a Rockchucker to compare it to.
