I cannot get the primers to seat flush with the base while trying to reload 9mm. Had the same issue with 45 ACP as well but was able to use a shell holder from the LEE auto prime that works. I have turned the dial up as far as it will go and primers are still seating a few thou high. I cut a small piece of shim stock and put it under the seating pin as a temp fix which does work.
Has anybody else had trouble with their Frankford Arsenal perfect seat hand primer?

See if they have any kind of warranty.
Only experience I have with anything FA is their big cast powder thrower, and I was not impressed.

I tried talking to FA customer service and it took 3 months for a reply which was "sorry cant help Canadians, take it up with where you purchased it". I bought it on Amazon where it is no longer available. It is well past its return date also.
Looking at pictures on Amazon it seems there are 2 different types as they have changed at some point. The pictures on FA website are different then then the one shown on Amazon. The primer tray is on the side of the new one.

I've got an old style one like the bottom picture, got mine from X-Reload.
When I first bought mine the adjustment was stiff, and wouldn't allow me to adjust far enough out to properly seat primers. Needed a bit of lube, and working it back and forth for a few minutes, before it would properly adjust all the way in and out. My guess is burrs in the adjustment mechanism. Works perfectly now.

Same issue here and also bought from Amazon.
I crazy glued a small diameter stainless steel washer on the end of the handle "push" rod to make it longer and it has been working fine.

Well I took mine apart to see if I can figure out what wrong and to say the least I am not impressed with Frankfort Arsenal. I tried to adjust the way the internals were put together and was able to get about 2 thou more out of the top ram height. Thats still not nearly enough to fully seat the primers.
Here is a pic of the adjustment mechanism. The knurled piece is threaded and rides in 2 nuts held captive in the body. It acts as a stop for how high the pin can travel up in its stroke. You can see my shim on the top of the pin to the right in the pic.

As you can see in the next pic one side of the threaded adjuster has been machined shorter. I can install the whole assembly upside down with more threads to the bottom of the tool but that makes the primer ram even lower at the top of its stroke. FA machined the threads down to allow the pin to move up high enough in the stroke to hopefully get the primers fully seated. This put a bandaid on a design/manufacturing error as my priming tool actually comes out of the bottom nut at the top of the adjustment. The pin should be longer and the geometry is off for the tool to work properly in my opinion. They must have fixed it in newer runs and dumped these on Amazon.

Thanks for the tip and thats what I did after I had it all apart. M3 washer fits good and gives enough height to make the tool work.
