Fred sits on a giant pile of stocks that he has sorted into similar categories. I have had indifferent service on one occasion and tardy service on another. I expected better than that, but the stocks that did arrive made up for any hard feelings.
The ordinary standard USGI fibreglass is probably just fine. Forget about the superior quality grades; it's for a rifle and meant to be shot. The lowest grades will probably have too many scratches, nicks and other imperfections to make you feel like you got good value for money.
I ordered a pair of birch stocks, a 'glass one, a set of stock metal, and some odd Garand spareparts - because he had them and they ain't makin' any more. Parcel post surface mail, with no miserable courier or arbitrary jacked up customs fees.
