"Free" country

Hello,

I just wanted to open with a small rant about living in a "free" country where a man is restricted from so many things. I think I should move to a developing country and pay less tax, buy what I want, build what I want and shoot in my backyard.

Unfortunately my wife does not share my delusions. I guess I will have to get along with my prison of "freedom".

Frothy.

Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will have ending hours of conversation around here with that fine attitude about guns that you have. Get ready to learn

Enjoy

Unfortunately, almost two decades of liberal social engineering has led us to this point. Most Canadians have no idea what is really going on and our march towards a fascist state. The "gun" culture is just one example, in a country like ours where gun violence is very low, hunting is a tradition that pre-dates the nation and yet, Canadians think firearms are these dirty obscene things that people don't like to talk about.

If that isn't liberal social engineering then I don't know what is?

Hmm...I wonder what my wife would think of that idea? Oh - wait, nevermind ;)

While I tend to agree with the sentiment you have expressed here, nevertheless I feel equally compelled to remain, and try to make the situation better in whatever small part that I am able to.

I hope that you will not become so discouraged as to give up, and accept the status quo.
