free floating barrel sks?

Has anyone done it, would it work for improving accuracy? Just a thought.

It will never be "free floating". I.E. gas system.

And the stock is attached to the fore stock ferrule which is attached to the barrel.

If you replaced the stock cross lug with a vertical takedown screw and rejigged the stock, it might be possible. Otherwise, the collective wisdom has spoken.
