So we've come up with a system that will allow free floating of the Tavor barrel forward of the optic mount.

I'm curious how much interest there is for this?

Also putting the finishing touches on a floating handguard system too :D.

I am awaiting (Tavor)mine also,

But the hand guard sounds very interesting:)

What would be the benefit of free floating the barrel? Accuracy?

I talked with CANAM about the Tavors a while ago. Demand far exceeds supply right now so people just have to be patient. I know they are working hard over there.

Yes the benefit is accuracy.

Cheers,

Lets see something. Take a novel approach and post about your product when you have it in your hands and you can actually complete a transaction.

We have a three part package that is made up of three individual pieces that can work separately or together in a couple combinations.

The flat top rail system is standalone http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=427480 but will work with the floating upper hand guard and floating quad rail. The whole system is something we're developing so if the interest is there then we'll continue.

Supporting dealers share their products or ideas and all people do is #####. Then people ##### and moan when dealers never talk about what they have in the works. Damned if you do, damned if you don't

is this a discreet modification? Any pics?

I like the idea, but not if it's going to drastically change the front of the tavor.

He showed the pics. And yes it going to drastically change the front of the tavor, that is the point of it, to free float the barrel and have a nifty top rail. but like he said all will work independently, so I assume the top rail with leave the rest of the gun pretty much as is (but no accuracy improvement). When CANAM sent me the test gun, it shot great, the same hole (or made the one a little bigger) at 100 with the Federal take a mortgage out on your house match ammo. The gun was rested in a shooting station to best test it.

Gimme a break, Who says its a bad idea, make it and they will come. Do you think because 10 people chime in and say ya ya ya I`ll buy one means anything either?

(see that you answered my first question while I was typing!) How's the weight compared to the original handguard and were you still looking at a replacement butt plate on the Tavor or is that kind of on the backburner?

The picture was great, thanks. Any chance it could be superimposed on a Tavor so we might be able to see what the finished product might look like? (I think some of us might be having a hard time picturing it exactly)

Obviously there is a lot more material there so weight is increased but the beautiful thing about the Tavor is that you won't really notice it like you would on a conventional layout. Overall we're talking around a pound or so.

The buttplate is something that will depend on demand...

That looks like a great idea. Since I have a stock TAVOR with the built in back up sights I would have to get that replaced. Will CANAM have the replacements readily available? I really like the lower rail. It looks like the handguard is longer than the stock handguard.

As soon as I get my tavor, I'll probably be looking for those. I'll just have to see how it looks and performs on the tavor first though as well as that shorter buttplate if I feel I'd be worth it.
