Hey who knows which online retailer has free shipping on ammo when you spend X dollars? I know Canada ammo has free shipping on $200 and western metals is $300 I believe. Are there any other online sources for ammo with free shipping? SFRC?? Who has a good selection of calibers . Thanks !!

In some cases I agree it all depends how heavy the item is and obviously the cost. Obviously in your 275 and 25 shipping cost = 300 it is irrelevant.
I had ordered just under 2k in ammo and a couple small accessories over thanksgiving weekend. This order was broke up between 2 site sponsors due to shipping costs from 1 of them. I was going to add 2 more 1000 rd cases from the one vendor but it was an extra $60 shipping which for me took the economics out of that. Now obviously I appreciate the pricing these shops presented with their sales, if I wasn't happy with them I would choose to support someone else.
For my case I had bought a good amount of CCI from SFRC due to the competitive price point. I understand they had clearly stated 15% off or free shipping not both, however this resulted in it being cheaper for me to purchase $1200-1300 (forget exact number) additionally from Tenda since their promotion price was now cheaper due to their free shipping after a minimum purchase amount.
I had mentioned this to SFRC and never got any sort of response. I was happy with both orders, I just would have dealt with 1 vendor instead of 2 if it penciled out. Both were shipped quickly and I received everything in great shape as one would expect. I certainly don't expect free shipping on just anything but as someone who has an interest in business I am surprised all competitive shops don't offer free shipping on orders over whatever minimum works for them (sale or no sale). Clearly the higher the volume the lower the shipping costs to begin with which is why amazons minimum is often $35-40. The more businesses that explore Costco's model of less mark up higher volumes the better it is for consumers imo. This is exactly why I only buy stuff for my hobbies on sale.
Cabelas always has free in store pick up and very consistently has free shipping with $99 minimum order. I ordered a solid amount of high quality great priced centre fire ammo for my 223 and 7mm this year. Didn't pay 1 cent shipping on dozens of orders through out the years.
