Finally applied for access to the EE and am finding it really time consuming looking at all the posts.
Hopefully I will soon become selective and stop wasting time looking at everything.
I was hoping to see a few Yugoslavian SKS for sale but I don't. Do they appear sometimes?
Someone was selling a slightly damaged (trigger sear) SKS for $100. Does that happen often or did
I miss out on the deal of the year? What does ''SPF'' mean when it appears after the price?

"SPF" = Sold pending funds.
Good luck on your search for something. Enjoy your time on EE and do your research. Lots to take in. Find something you'd want and search it out, or sift through all those post while you are at work, wasting time.

Hi Robert,

Yes the EE can be very time consuming but is a great resource if used carefully. You might even luck out from time to time on "the deal of the century:) SPF stands for Sold Pending Funds and simply means the item has been sold and the seller is waiting on payment. Have fun on the EE.

If one looks long enough, any firearm, hunting item, or part comes through the EE's. Unfortunately many are at retail, and from a sellers perspective, most responses are insulting low ballers.

One piece of advice passed on to me.....and i pass it to you. Start by buying a few items of low value that you need anyways, even if they are FTF. Once you get a solid number and 100% feedback score everything is good to go on the EE's.

If i dont see the add when it's in is early stage, i never go back tru the forum to read it... JP.

Thanks for the advice, I need lots, I'm inexperienced about guns and clueless about internet forums. What is the purpose of the feedback score system?

EE rant equals IBTL... look it up!!

OP: Re Yugo SKS, they do come up once every few months. Some even have the GL attachment. They're usually fairly expensive as they aren't commonly available. You generally need to be pretty quick as they're in demand. Good luck!!

Yes check the original post date in the EE. It is full of overpriced items pushed back to the top over and over.
Check the current retail price on every item you are interested in buying, I find most are overpriced for used but make a fair offer and see. Frankly have not really ever noticed a deal of the century, just the ocassional fair deal.
Have fun and good hunting!

The best EE deal ive found was a chilean mouser that had been sported and bedded . It shoots 1/2 moa with factory ammo when i do my part.

Oh ya... the best part. It cost $100.

So far my experience as both a buyer and a seller has been great....but I know not to get too comfortable because you never know when you may be bitten by a rogue transaction.

On EE SKS sell for 220 + shipping used lol, Localy its hard to sell a SKS thats barely used for 180 lol. Maybe it time to give up selling local and move to EE .
