From approval to your door

Quick question. I called in about my RPAL and they said its approved (finally after two and half months). Now my question is, how long will it take before I have it? I am in Alberta and I have heard horror stories of it taking up to three weeks.
 
Mine took just under 2 weeks after about 4 months. Then had to wait another ~2 months for the ATT processing as apparently the first one you do normally takes longer.
 
My Rpal took 4 months less a day from application submission to the card at my door. From when I received a confirmation of approval to the mailbox was about a week and a half. Already had 2 restricteds on order from forum sponsors and got them in a little over one week of receiving my rpal. The LTATT was done in a day by the BC CFO office and I already had a gun club membership with range pass. Easy peasy...now waiting the first 4 months wasn't easy but gave me time to buy and install a gun safe and do lots of research on my purchases.
 
things sound pretty bad in BC.

I got mine approved right after the 28 mandatory days, after which it took the regular couple of days in the mail to get to me.
 
For all you guys who've experienced long delays ; did you use expresspost delivery with signature required when sending in your application?
