I have a busted follower in one of my G17 mags. Its a 2183 #2 follower.

I went to the 'contact us' on Glock's website and asked if they would be kind enough to replace them both (I have 2 mags) for me. Presumptuous maybe, but I was hopeful after reading threads on the web about them sending people 9mm3 followers to replace their 2183 #2 followers for free.

I get a nice email from Glock Canada stating that they were going to do just that, and include some goodies! I was immediately reminded of every time I order from Canada Ammo. I always get a smile when I see the little treats that CanAm adds to my orders.

Today I receive a package with all this cool stuff in it:

*3 new replacement 2183 #2 followers
*3 new 9mm3 followers
*G17 keychain
*Glock Pen
*Glock Sticker
*some reading material

Love the Glock

Wow i had a S&W out for repair for almost 2 years and all i got to compensate me was the broken part back
Needless to say that was my last Smith

COOL!
Good thing they didn't send you a Glock 23 keychain…probably get you arrested here!
Stickers probably pay for themselves in free advertising, I love customer service like this example.

Yep costs them next to nothing to send you this stuff, yet instead of bashing them for poor quality parts and crappy service, they have made a customer for life that will sing their praise off of rooftops. That`s how it should always be handled. People dont bother to write companies anymore, its a shame because they usually love earing from satisfied customers instead of always getting the whining about warranty issues. Good on them and gratz to you on the loot.

When my second hand ambi-frame G21 started to have issues, Glock replaced the pistol, for the cost of shipping one way. I got it back with 2 free mags and a pen. Though i have to say i'm a might jealous of your keychain.

Glock rocks!

Glock Canada and specifically their rep was awesome to deal with on E-mail. Never had to act on it, but communication was good (after first few days waiting for reply. )

I made sure to show my appreciation to the Glock Canada rep via email. I think every company would do well to send at least a sticker with their products. keychains/pens/stickers are so cheap and go a long way (Canada Ammo knows this!!)

Maybe its just me, but I've just spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to crack open these damn 10 rnd G17 mags (without marring them too badly) ... There are 2 internal ridges that go the length of the entire mag and make it so you can't push the internal base plate thing down very far with your punch. I tried squeezing the sides of the mags with my hands to let the outer base plate slide past the little nubs on the mag, which didn't work. I tried channel lock pliers and that didn't work either. You can't squeeze the mag because the internal base plate won't move far enough out of the way to let you. I just ended up prying the outer base plate out and around the damn nubs and then sliding the plate off. Now that I've swapped both followers to 9mm3, I hope to NEVER have to open the mags again.
