Make no mistake, I enjoyed goofing around with the Mares Leg but I do like my non-restricteds to at least occupy a useful niche in the safe. Might be fun in the thick stuff for whiteys and at least as a camp gun that I can hit something with past 30 yards...

Need to darken the forend but the wife is a pro with stain & varnish etc.

The SBR are handy and addictive
You SBR will be handy wen hunting in marshy areas and in snow and out of a boat/canoe and nice to pack

That's the way to go for the short carbines. I fitted both my Rossi Ranch Hands with carbine stocks
as well, then installed XS ghost ring peep sights to get the most sight radius from the buggers. Makes for
proper hunting & plinking rifles that are a joy to carry in the bush.

Think of it as a extra short trapping rifle for short range work
you will see how handy it is off a snowmobile in deep snow

Can't wait to put it thru its paces this year, brass will look like heck by late season whitetail close.... Just have to figure out a nice and scaled properly sling for it!

I would like to poach this thread and ask about scabbards, or gun cases that I can carry on my back, for my Rossi Ranch hand. Current length 24". Length with full stock approx 31"...?

Also, will a single point sling help me to aim without the full stock?
