I own a Marlin 1974 Marlin 336, bought it without sights or sight ramps but came with a scope. Looking to put iron sights back on but can't find anyone who can help with the ramps I live in BC, wondering where might be a good place to buy sight ramps for a firearm of that age? Would newer ramps be compatable?

Western Gun Parts in Edmonton. They usually have lots of Marlin stuff and may even be able to provide you with parts lists so you can see your options. Got lots of old and new Marlin stuff from them. Just google the name. Also Marbles makes all kinds of sights for it-some of the originals too and tang sights.
FWIW I have an older Marlin 336cSC in 35Rem I am about to play with. The sights on it suck and are cheap sheet metal. Marbles makes a series of vintage sights and used to supply sights to Winchester and Marlin. Not expensive but then they are standard dovetail mounts for most of these rifles so any gunshop should have a drawer full of neat stuff too if my dealers here in Vancouver are any indication. Might even put a tang sight on the old girl.

If you can post a couple pictures of what you're looking for, it might help. I have quite a few older take-off sights for different rifles.
