The mechanical genius (me) managed to destroy his front sight on his #5 rifle. Can anyone put me on to somebody who sells the front sight for the #5 rifle and also offer the correct way to install & adjust.

Take Care

Bob

It is the same one as the #4. Slacken the srew thing on the front of the sight block and pusha nother one in.

On my #5s, the front sight blade is at the short end of the range of heights. Look for a guy at the gunshow with a collection of LE parts. They are listed on Ebay for about $15 for a set of all 5 heights.

Thanks to both of you. I broke the blade. Don't ask how...please. Ganderite my #5 has no screw to slaken off. If the dovetail is the same as you suggest I assume the new sight just drifts into the dovetail. Is this correct? I probably am the most imept mechanical genius on this board so be gentle in your reply.:D

There is a screw sight pusher tool out there, but you can also carefully drift the sight out, putting a punch against the side of the base. Put the flash hider against a block of wood to keep it still.
The inserts are quite common, same as other Enfields. Ganderite had a good suggestion re heights.
