Front sight adjustment - Baikal rifle

Hello,

I need to adjust the front sight on a Baikal rifle. The manual says that "an elevation adjustable front sight which is clamped by a spring loaded plunger". There is a very small hole in the muzzle end of the front sight. I assume that is the access to the plunger. I cannot see what is in there.

Can anyone advise me how to release this plunger so I can adjust the front sight? Or is the sight threaded and can be screwed in or out to adjust height?

You just screw it in or out

That front post is on a pivot pin in the middle. Screw that front end below the floating piece up or down

Part of my problem is I do not know what to use to do the turning. I have tried various pliers but it is a very small area.
