Triyng to change my standart front sight assembly on my AR to a flip up one but can't get the d... pins off. looking for suggestion on how to remove them without trashing my barrel. Seems like they're seized there. I tryed with soaking them with WD40, i tryed indirect heat on the sight itself and just plain pounding with my punch but they won't even move. hepl me please.

Tapered pins? They may be, don't hit the large end. The sight base has to be solidly supported, use a good punch, sharp blow, they should move. Lighter repeated taps can rivet the pin, instead of moving it.

tappered pins are usually in (looking at the top of the barrel from the reicever end) from right to left so you have to bash them out from the left!
