Front sight BLR

The front sight on my BLR is tearing up the inside of my soft gun cases and I want it off

I took the screw on top off, but the dovetail sight wouldn't move.

What's next? Don't want to bull it too much.

I should have done this in July I know................

You must drive the dovetailed sight out with a non-marring drift punch (brass or nylon). There is a screw underneath it. Rermove that screw et voila, the whole shebang comes off......
