I just picked up a matching 1943 Russian M91/30 and the front sight is cocked way out to the left side on the barrel. This is all very new to me but it doesn't look at all normal and if you look from underneath, the sight ring is way off center.
Is the sight correct being that far over to one side of the mount and can I use my SKS sighting tool to correct it when I shoot? The sight looks like it was staked from the front and is way off from the center mark on the barrel mount. The sights base protrudes over two mm on the left side and the right side has a lot of free space?
Now I need a M44 since I've caught the MN bug.
Great site by the way and thanks in advance!
