Anyone know of a good place to get a SKS front sight adjustment tool for my VZ58S (preferably near Waterloo)? Try as I may, I just can't get that damned front sight to budget with punchs or C-clamps or anything.
an sks front sight tool will work BUT chances are that "new" rifles sight was assembled in the 1960's and it wont move easy I used a brass punch to get mine moving then i used the sks front sight tool
Aww man.. I tried using a punch, all I did was dint that metal sight drum on the gun. Err.. I guess I'll just have just keep trying, or figure out something really elaborate.
I don't own a VZ/CZ but here's how I moved the windage drum on my SKS to install Firesights, it might work for the CZ/VZ also.
I supported the one side of the barrel with a piece of MDF in my vice and used a short brass bolt against the other side to push it out. Took quite a bit of torque to get it moving but worked well and no damage to the rifle.
