front site abit loose. how do i fix it?

The front sight on my revolver is abit loose and can often get un...uh,.. sited? What can i do to make it so it stays in place better? its a dovetail sight.
 
What you need to do is peen the metal to create a dimple that will then help the sight stay in place.

Use a punch and a hammer. Probably best to put the dimple on the sight so that you can always replace it if required.
 
hmm... this sounds like something i'll possibly screw up. do you think loctite might work? i might try something abit easier to NOT screw up before making a dimple.
