So, I’m currently building a setup for ORPS and CRPS matches. Platform is a CZ 457 LRP.
Ive ordered a universal ARCA rail to mount to the front of the rifle stock which will affect my ability to install the front mounting point for the sling on the bottom of the rifle.
I have a QD cup mount that I can mount to the side of the stock close to the front of it. But I’m wondering if anyone has any advice or if anyone can shed light on whether or not having my front sling mounting point on the side of my stock will affect the functionality of shooting with my sling as support? Common sense tells me that it may pull my rifle to the side that the front sling mounting point is attached to.

I’m looking at one of the SAP sling that has the option of being used with tension on your front arm through back pressure using the front sling point only.

I'm going to have to bump this and eat my words. I recently got a cuff sling made and also installed a flushcup in the strong side of my rifle forend. Attaching your sling to the opposite side is much better, there is no pulling to the support side and the sling supports the weight of the rifle more.
