Frontier era

Thank you gentlemen!

Like most of us here, I enjoy reading about historical battles of the past. Many of us are familiar with the June 6th 1844 account of Samuel Walker and Coffee Hays with 15 fellow rangers repelling a war party of 75 hostile Indians with much thanks to their brand new Colt Paterson revolvers, courtesy of the demobilized Texas Navy. However in 1831, we have a similar account of an earlier frontier attack in Texas with James Bowie leading the defensive action:
