Frozen Screw help

Hi all,Firstly, I am not a "smithy" nor intend to be, but am trying to dissasemble my shotgun in order to refinish the stock. It's a generic SXS made in Hungary, with the name Monte Carlo on it. No other identifying marks.Anyways, the issue is that there is one main screw on the bottom, directly below the firing pins that holds the stock that refuses to budge. I've tried using penetrating oil, tried my drill on 'hammer' to try to vibrate it loose, all to no avail.Any other tricks I could try before I concede failure and take it in to have it drilled out?Thanks.
 
It does not require drilling out...

Use a hammer impact driver with the bit ground to fit the screw...

Hammer impact drivers are typically used by motorcycle mechanics.... usually cost $30 or so...
 
are you sure that the main screw below the firing pins holds the stock?
Usually the screws that hold the stock may be a butt screw or further back in the tang going upwards or under the top release lever going down into the lower tang

you may be trying to undo a screw you do not need to to take the stock off

any pics?
 
You really shouldn't need to disassemble the whole shotgun to get the stock off. Take off the butt plate/pad and look for a screw inside on the receiver. Got the forestock off?

Thanks Guntech. (and everybody)Three taps with the impact driver and it came out slicker than bacon through a goose. I'm actually embarrassed that I didn't think to use one. Turns out that it was holding things together, not a screw into the stock itself, but it held the trigger assembly to the receiver assembly with wood in between them.Thanks again.
