Frustrated with Stoger x50

Ok I have a Stoger x50 is packs a punch it's rated for 1500 fps and it's in .177. I bought a Stoger 3x9-40 scope and mounts. Now the gun hits low about an inch at 15 yards I turned the dial to bring it up but have maxed out the dial on the scope and it still hits about one inch low. I'm pissed. I figure I will be returning this piece of crap and look into another scope like a Simmons or a vortex. My question is has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any recommendations

What is happening is fairly common in breakbarrel airguns. It's called barrel droop and there may not be anything wrong with the scope itself, but with the mount.
