Well i did the fire arms safety course for both restricted and non restricted on July 8-10 and passed both no problem. After some easy reading here in the posts on how to speed up pal application i sent my application asap to begin my waiting period. Now that my 28 day waiting is almost over i STILL have NOT received my test results from the Ontario RCMP office(going on 8 weeks now). I have received a letter from the CFO to send my test results so i know they have begun to process my application. HAS ANYONE ELSE ENCOUNTERED THIS PROBLEM????

TOTALLY FRUSTRATED:mad::mad::mad::mad:

When you did the test did they not give you a copy of the test results then or have they changed that also. I had to do the NR test twice due to they not accepting my Alberta test but since I actually only needed the course I never even asked for the results.

In Ontario you dont get the "official" copy right away as the CFO "stamps" then sends them to you. Prb alot of backlog with hunting season etc... Very frustrating but hang in there.

I was told "sorry very busy here" after 30 days for my pal and rpal and it could take longer so I would have to wait, Told her I would keep calling daily to check. Then was magically forwarded to the CFO desk and was told she would approve it and said she would sent it out. Think it took 40 days total to get it here in Rural BC.

My buddy didn't call and it took 3 1/2 months for just his PAL, exact same location.

I had no job at the time so I was able to call all day long if I wanted to :p

28 days also applies to your test results so expect your paperwork to be MAILED this week earliest. Then Canada Post will take minimum three working days so mid next week at best, longer if Canada Post goes on strike or starts limited job action. I might be inclined to call the CFO Ontario office and perhaps go pick it up.

The waiting period is 28 days but on average from the day you send your paper work to the day you have the card in your hand can take appropx 3 months.

I did a course non restricted last yr April 26th, got my test result the end of May. I waited till I got my test results before sending everything in. Cost me another month or so before I read on here thst I could do it faster. Don't worry should be there soon. My suggestion try tennis or jogging for a couple of weeks. Or consider the massive amount of money your Saving not owning any guns or buying ammunition yet.

Sounds like you are on the longer side of things for the waiting period but I'm assuming you'll be receiving it in the next coming days.

I think I waited 6 weeks to get my "stamped" papers stating I passed when I did mine back in 2012

This guy knows

i actually passed my courses on exact same dates, the fseso is now emailing the stamped tests back instead of mailing them so go check your email that you put on your application, i just received my reports a few days ago and im about to send off my pal application

Keep waiting, this is a test of your patience, i just ran my neighbors through the course and they have been waiting 18 weeks now ( 18weeks after the 28 day wait)

Wait wait and wait some more
