This has been bug'n me for a while so I'm ask'n for some
other opinions as to 'why'
I'm loading a bunch of 9mm and using Dillon dies. Goes very
smooth so far, thats not the problem. What I don't like, is after
the bullet has been seated, there is a 'bulge' in the case where the
bullet base sits. I don't like it, it's, well ugly and looks cheap to me.
Some brass is worse than others and when I load 45 auto, there
is no sign of a bulge, however, I'm using RCBS dies for 45.
Does anyone else get this unsightly bump in there brass when
using Dillon dies for 9mm ? I tried backing the die off a bit but
that didn't help and really isn't a good idea.
I started to load a few 147gr'ers tonite, and after the first one
seated. . . . holly crap! I made a reverse bottle neck cartridge!
How about other die makers, do they produce 'da bump' ?
Thx. all.
