Full camo rifle care

I was wondering what everyone is doing for care on a rifle like this. That is camo wraped or painted from tip to tail. Do you oil the barrel as usual of what do you do on the out side to stop rust etc. Or becuse it is sealed? you dont have to oil it on the barrel action etc. I just bought a new Savage 10xp like the one showen .

I just use a clean rag with a bit of gun oil on it. When using more aggressive cleaners fore the internal parts ( i use hoppes # 9 ) I take care not to get any on the camo...when I do get a bit on the camo finish I just wipe it off. The finish on my gun has held up well so far.

The inside of the barrel isn't coated. Innards likely aren't either. Clean it the same way you do any other rifle.

I would say clean it like any other finish and protect it with a light coat of good gun oil. What does your Savage owner's manual say? When in doubt... RTFM!
