Hi Guys,

Looking to pick up a new shotgun. I have been looking at some full stocks with pistol grip models for something a little different. I am familiar with the benelli supernova and mossberg 535, both full stocks. I do not have any experience with a pistol grip shotgun (with full stock) nor anyone I would be willing to ask to shoot.

What are the con's? I would be looking to purchase one for small game and to load with slugs for deer, about the biggest game I would go after. Any real caveats?

The biggest con would be that it is not what you are used to. I tried the full stock pistol grip a few times and found it awkward and the gun did not come up naturally. This is probably because I raise a shotgun with a standard stock to my face somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 times a year. I'm better off with a standard stock because that is what I am used to. YMMV.

The more I use my shotguns the more tactical crap comes off and they go back to stock form...

Besides the cool factor, I took mine off and sold it.... I didnt find them practical at all...

Personal preference there...

Agreed... Practical and tactical are two entirely different things.
